How it trades and why the profile matters

The listing describes six profiles: Striker for selective entries; Ultimate Scalper for faster trading; Swinger for longer holding potential; Prop Scalper for prop-style use; PRR Scalping for positive risk-to-reward setups; and Custom for adjustable management. It lists daily and equity protections, news/spread filters, and closing controls. Profile settings matter more than the visible chart timeframe, according to the publisher.

Treat each configuration as a separate evaluation. A result obtained with one profile does not establish how another will behave. Before comparing accounts, record the profile, release, position size, stop settings and broker symbol specifications.

What changed in version 5.0?

The changelog adds portfolio mode, profile-level sizing, combined directional risk controls and additional broker-based risk verification. Previous updates also document fixes and warn about incompatible older set files. These are documented changes, not proof that all configuration or execution problems have disappeared.

Smart Gold Hunter live results: the MQL5 account

The developer-linked MQL5 signal displayed the following snapshot on 4 October 2026:

Metric Displayed value
History 31 weeks
Initial deposit $100
Growth / net profit 150.20% / $150.33
Trades / winning percentage 209 / 75.11%
Profit factor 1.75
Maximal balance drawdown 14.02%
Relative equity drawdown 3.32%
Average winning / losing trade 2.23/-3.84
Average holding time 50 seconds
Maximum consecutive losses Four

These are the platform’s distinct drawdown labels, not interchangeable measures. The signal carries a negative-slippage warning for copying. Copying a signal and running an EA directly are different execution arrangements.

How to interpret this evidence

The snapshot supports historical profitability on this account. Average losses exceeded average wins, so maintaining a sufficient win rate matters. Short holding periods make trading costs and execution especially relevant.

The account began in March; v5.0 arrived in September. Its entire return therefore cannot be attributed to v5.0. Neither the $100 starting balance nor the historical drawdown establishes a suitable account size or future loss ceiling for another user.

Myfxbook accounts: additional links and evidence limits

The following accounts were supplied for comparison. We could not establish their current statistics, real/demo classification, verification status, freshness or exact configurations. Their titles alone do not establish which software generated the trades.

Four links belong to the same Myfxbook member. Seven URLs do not necessarily represent seven independent tests. Do not average their gains, add their profits, or select the highest-return chart as the representative result.

For each account, inspect account verification, full history, deposits and withdrawals, floating exposure, monthly losses, lot sizes and last update. Also request the release and set file used. A verified account history alone does not verify attribution to one EA.

Strengths and limitations

What helps evaluation What remains uncertain
A public account provides inspectable historical evidence. Results may differ with another feed, configuration or execution environment.
The publisher describes a strategy without recovery baskets. We have not audited the code or confirmed behaviour for every profile.
Release notes document maintenance. Older and newer settings cannot be assumed equivalent.
Multiple profiles offer different operating choices. A buyer still needs evidence for the configuration they intend to use.

Our assessment is that this product has evidence worth examining, but the available material does not justify calling it predictably profitable. No credible review can forecast your return from a product name and several account links.

Setup: what to confirm before the first trade

Use our step-by-step MT5 EA installation guide for terminal installation help. Obtain Market purchases through the Market installation process; follow the seller’s delivery instructions for other legitimately supplied packages.

  1. Match the installed file and manual to the release you purchased.
  2. Confirm your broker’s Gold symbol, contract size, tick value, minimum volume and volume step.
  3. Load a compatible set file and record the selected profile.
  4. Check the intended position size and loss at the proposed stop. Compare this with the account’s risk limits.
  5. Review stop behaviour, trading permissions, filters and journal messages before enabling live operation.
  6. Keep a configuration record and compare actual execution with your test assumptions.

Example: on a $1,000 account, 1% represents $10 of intended risk. That arithmetic does not prescribe a lot size: the required volume depends on stop distance and contract specifications, while execution can change the realised loss.

Why is Smart Gold Hunter not trading?

Inactivity alone does not identify a fault. First distinguish an EA that fails to load from one that loads but has no qualifying entry.

Symptom Check
EA does not load Platform, release compatibility, installation and license messages.
EA loads but no orders appear Trading permissions, active profile, filters and journal explanations.
Pending orders exist but no fills occur Whether price has reached the entry and whether the order remains valid.
Trades differ from the reference account Configuration, server time, symbol specifications, quotes and execution.
Loss exceeds your intended amount Contract data, volume, stop placement, fill price and slippage.

Avoid increasing risk or disabling protections simply to force more activity. Send support the release, set file, symbol specifications and relevant journal entries so the problem can be assessed.

Price, download and purchase questions

Use the official listing to check current purchase and tester-demo options. Distinguish a tester demonstration, a signal subscription, and a license to run the full EA: each provides a different service.

Before paying any seller, confirm the actual delivered release, activation restrictions, set files, manual, update access and support. An account title containing “FREE” is not a download authorization or a description of license terms.

For another Gold EA to research, see our Mon Scalper MT5 product page. Compare evidence and requirements; we have not performed a head-to-head trading test.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it in MT4?

The reviewed official product is listed for MT5. Do not assume an MT4 package exists without a separate publisher specification.

Which settings are best?

There is no established universal best configuration in this review. Evaluate a compatible profile against your account rules and execution conditions. Historical optimisation alone does not settle the choice.

Is it suitable for a prop firm?

Confirm the firm’s current rules and the exact configuration. A profile name does not establish approval, compliance or challenge success.

Does no martingale mean low risk?

No. Position sizing, stops, execution and accumulated losses still determine exposure. A strategy description cannot establish a maximum future drawdown.

Will I match the displayed account?

Matching the name of the EA is insufficient. You need comparable settings, release, market data and execution; even then, identical outcomes are not assured.

Have you tested this EA yourself?

No. This review assesses publisher material and publicly retrievable account evidence. The Myfxbook links remain unverified in this review.

What should I examine next?

Open the live account history, identify the configuration you would actually run, and confirm your package and setup requirements. Use the MT5 installation guide when you are ready to configure the terminal.

Trading leveraged instruments can lose capital. Historical results and automated protection features do not guarantee future returns or prevent every execution loss.
