Ghost XAU is advertised as a selective trading system. It may wait when its entry conditions are not met, so buyers should not expect trades every day.

How does Ghost XAU work?

The developer’s published description presents Ghost XAU as a system that filters potential entries before opening a trade. It advertises no grid or averaging, with equal initial take-profit and stop-loss distances. These are descriptions of the intended trading approach, rather than independently verified results. Equal target and stop distances do not mean equal final profits and losses after trading costs and execution differences. Losing trades and losing periods remain possible.

Understanding its advertised features

Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode is described as a way to observe the trading logic using a virtual balance without sending real orders. Virtual observation can help you understand the EA’s behaviour. It cannot prove how actual orders will be filled.

Ghost X-Ray

Ghost X-Ray is advertised as a tool for explaining why potential entries were rejected. This may help you investigate a quiet chart before assuming that the EA has stopped working.

Decision Replay

Decision Replay is described as a way to review completed trading decisions. Use this type of review to understand behaviour, rather than judging the EA only by a rising account graph.

Current product and performance status

Information checked: 20 October 2026. The original MQL5 product page currently says Ghost Xau MT5 is no longer available for purchase. The previously linked MQL5 signal also currently returns “signal not found.” These findings do not establish why the pages became unavailable. They mean those links cannot currently support a claim of active, independently reviewable trading performance. An established live trading record for the v5.87 package has not been verified for this page. Historical backtests, virtual trades and real-account trading are different forms of evidence. A backtest shows how a configuration performed in a historical simulation. It does not show what your account will earn.   Ghost XAU EA MT5 Review 1 Ghost XAU EA MT5 Review 2 Ghost XAU EA MT5 Review 3 Ghost XAU EA MT5 Review 4

What should you check before using it?

Start by checking the actual version shown by the EA, its instructions and your broker’s Gold contract. Pay particular attention to:
  • The exact Gold symbol supported by your file.
  • Minimum trade size and lot increments.
  • Spread, commission and margin requirements.
  • Fixed-lot or percentage-risk settings.
  • Any setting that increases trade size after losses.
  • Required permissions, connections and activation steps.
Do not assume that “no grid” means the trade size always stays the same. Check the actual inputs and understand any recovery option before enabling it.

What is the minimum deposit?

There is no single deposit amount that makes Gold trading suitable for every account. The amount needed depends on the broker’s contract size, minimum lot, leverage, margin rules and the trade size selected in the EA. A balance that is large enough to open an order may still be too small to handle a losing period. Higher leverage can reduce the margin needed to open a position; it does not reduce the loss caused by a market move at the same position size. Check the requirements of the supplied release and test the intended settings before using real funds.

Does Ghost XAU need a SET file?

A SET file stores EA input values. It does not install the EA or activate its licence. Do not assume that a preset from another seller matches your version. Check its intended symbol, timeframe and risk settings. If you have a matching preset, follow our guide to loading a SET file in MT5. After loading it, review the changed values before allowing trading.

  1. Extract the downloaded package.
  2. Open MT5 and select File → Open Data Folder.
  3. Open MQL5 → Experts and place the EA file there.
  4. Refresh Navigator → Expert Advisors, or restart MT5.
  5. Open the chart specified in your release instructions. Published Ghost XAU guidance identifies XAUUSD M15.
  6. Attach the EA and review its inputs.
  7. Complete any required activation and allow only the permissions named in the instructions.
  8. Enable Algo Trading when ready, then check the Experts and Journal tabs.
Our illustrated MT5 EA installation guide explains the steps in more detail. MQL5 Market purchases use the marketplace’s installation and activation process.

Why is Ghost XAU not opening trades?

A quiet chart does not always mean an installation fault. A selective EA may be waiting for suitable conditions. Check the platform connection, trading permissions, correct symbol and timeframe, available margin and any messages shown by the EA. Also check whether an observation mode or another trading restriction is active. Avoid changing several inputs at once simply to force an entry. For a setup issue, contact Product Support with your order number, EA version and the relevant error message. Never send your trading-account password.

Who may find this EA worth considering?

Ghost XAU may interest traders who want to investigate an automated Gold strategy and understand why it accepts or rejects entries. It requires time to check the settings, observe its behaviour and assess the evidence. It is unsuitable for anyone relying on guaranteed daily income or expecting the software to remove trading risk.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ghost XAU v5.87 for MT4 or MT5?

This page covers the MT5 edition. Choose the file made for your trading platform.

Which symbol and timeframe does it use?

Published guidance identifies Gold, XAUUSD/GOLD, on M15. Confirm the exact symbol supported by your supplied release.

Does no grid mean no risk?

No. An EA can lose money without using a grid. Trade size, losing streaks, market moves and execution conditions still matter.

Can I expect trades every day?

No daily trade count is promised. A system that filters entries may remain inactive when its conditions are not met.

Are backtest profits the same as live results?

No. Backtests are historical simulations. Actual trading involves execution conditions and costs that can differ from the test.

Can I run the EA from the MT5 mobile app?

MT5 mobile does not run Expert Advisors. Use a suitable desktop terminal or supported hosting arrangement.

Are lifetime updates or unlimited accounts included?

Check the purchase details for this offer. Do not assume that another seller’s licence or update terms apply.

Does Ghost XAU guarantee profit?

No. You can lose money, including your trading capital. Review the evidence and test the intended configuration before using real funds.
